What should I expect at my session?
Before Our Session
We’ll have a pre-session consultation to go over outfits and locations to figure out the flow of your session. We want to be completely prepared so that everything will run smoothly. I’ll also check in via text or email occassionally as the date approaches.
My portraits have the flexibility of either meeting on-site or at an outdoor location. My approach is to highlight your strengths, capture capture your individuality and confidence and to make sure your presence is presented in a flattering way. I want you to love the things that make you interesting—that make you, you. A great headshot is a powerful asset!
If there are weather concerns, we will talk about that, as well and schedule a backup date, just in case.
During the Session
I'll have you do several poses in various forms - sitting, standing, leaning, etc. I may have you do these poses multiple times. This isn’t because you’re doing anything wrong, it’s just to ensure that I get the perfect shot and that it looks how I envision it in my head. If there is a pose you’re uncomfortable in or it doesn’t feel like you, let me know and we can switch it up!
After the Session
I’ll cull and edit through your photos, then I will send you a password protected proofing gallery online via email. This is when you will choose your selected photos. Photos in proofing gallery are UNEDITED photos, but once selection is made, images will be hand-edited and made to perfection.
When will we get our photos?
In regards to your photos, as I sort through all of the images from our session, I choose to select the ones that best represent you. I love to give you the images where there are beautiful expressions, and priceless moments being captured. While I do not edit and/or share every image from our session, I do strive to deliver the best photo(s) of each pose.
If you would like, I will post a few sneak peek photos on my Facebook/Instagram page within 48 hours of our session. I will aim to have your gallery portraits edited and ready within two weeks of our session. I am happy to offer your photos on one USB, which is included in your session when you order physical prints. You are welcome to purchase additional USB's if you would like. You may also receive your photos on a personalized, password protected, online gallery. This allows for the quickest delivery of the images, for you to easily view and share your photos. From there you are welcome to order print products through me, or you can look after creating prints with your own preferred lab. Seniors also receive a complementary custom mobile album sharing app they can put on their phone and share with friends and family of their gallery!
How many pictures will we receive?
All images come with high resolution digital files via download link with download pin. Quantity of images depends on which collection you select. Additional digital images may be purchased.
